Mechanical Assembler / Operator

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing manual tasks, operating semi- and automated processing equipment, and completing rework. Work will include microscope usage, following detailed written work instructions, and documenting non-conformances in our Factory Operating System (FOS).
We are especially interested in candidates with Photolithography experience (3+ years) or Diffusion/CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) experience (3+ years) in Thin Films.
Key Duties:
• Setup shop orders and operate ovens
• Perform inspection and precision work under microscopes
• Operate semiconductor equipment in photolithography area
• Follow detailed written work instructions
• Document non-conformances and rework in FOS
• Maintain annual training requirements for safety, hazardous materials, and quality systems
Required Skills:
• Experience in manufacturing, microelectronics, aerospace, or defense industries
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic math skills
• High attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to quality standards
Desired Skills:
• Photolithography experience (3+ years)
• Diffusion or CMP (3+ years)
• Experience with microscopes
• Soldering experience to Military/ANSI/J standards
• Strong teamwork and safety mindset
• Microelectronics or semiconductor manufacturing experience
Education & Experience Requirements:
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical education in a related discipline preferred
• Experience: o ideally 3+ years in Thick/Thin Films or semiconductor manufacturing o Preference for expert-level candidates 5+ years, though 3–4 years will be considered o Not accepting candidates with 1 year or less experience Physical Demands:
• Stand and walk for extended periods during the shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for equipment setup/test tasks
• Regular use of hands/fingers for handling tools, test equipment, and computer systems
• Ability to sit and perform detailed work (e.g., wiring or board inspection) as needed
• Lift, carry, or move parts and equipment up to 25 - 50lbs occasionally
• Work in environments with moderate noise, temperature variations, or tight spaces
• Use PPE, including safety glasses and ESD protection, as required Additional Note: Candidates with backgrounds requiring precision, dexterity, and fine attention to detail—such as nail salon experience—are encouraged to submit, as these skillsets often translate successfully into our coating and masking/demasking work on CCA boards.
